A highboy is a tall wooden chest with many drawers, used for clothes. It often stands on legs, and older ones may come in two parts stacked together. This is American English. In British English the same kind of thing is usually a tallboy. Though actually, there is no boy in the room — it is just a furniture name. You meet it in furniture shops, antique shops, and American house descriptions, not in everyday chat. A shorter, wider chest in the same American pair is a lowboy.
