    A heelflip is a trick. You jump up, and as you leave the board you push down hard with your heel. The board turns over sideways in a full circle — like a coin flipping — and you land on it when the top is facing up again. It is the heel's pair to a kickflip, which uses the toes to flick the board the other way. Skaters treat the word as one trick-name, written heelflip or heel flip. You will hear it in skate parks and skate videos, not in formal writing. Though actually, people who don't skate sometimes mix it up with any jump on a board; to a skater, the heel flick and that sideways flip are the whole point.
