Hedonistic describes a person, a life, or a choice that puts pleasure first. A hedonistic holiday is built around comfort and fun. A hedonistic culture, in a newspaper, often means people spending a lot on enjoyment. Like hedonist, it can be cool and descriptive, or it can carry a raised eyebrow — too much pleasure, not enough care. It is an adjective: a hedonistic lifestyle, hedonistic habits, hedonistic spending. Though actually, it does not by itself tell you whether the speaker admires this or blames it; you have to hear the rest of the sentence. It comes from hedonist plus a little ending that makes a describing word. Do not use it as a noun: we do not say “a hedonistic” for the person. That person is a hedonist; the belief is hedonism.
