Hauteur is a proud, very unfriendly manner — the cold “I am above you” way of standing, looking, or speaking. It is a noun, the name of the manner, not a word you put in front of a person. You can speak with hauteur, or look at someone with hauteur; you cannot say “a hauteur woman” (say haughty instead). It is borrowed from French, and it sounds fancy on purpose. You will almost never hear it in a shop or a classroom chat; it lives in novels and rather literary writing. Though actually it means much the same as haughtiness, but hauteur keeps a French flavour, as if the pride is polished and distant.
