    Hajji is a title for a Muslim who has completed the haj, the pilgrimage to . People may put it before a name, like a respectful extra name, to mark that the person has made that journey. You will also see haji and hadji; they point to the same title. It is not a first name by itself, and it is not a job. In some places it is used very for older men; in English news you sometimes see it used loosely for any Muslim man, which is careless and can sound rude. Used properly, it is an honour tied to that one pilgrimage.
