A GUI is a way of running a computer by looking at pictures, buttons, windows, and menus on the screen, and pointing at them — with a mouse, a trackpad, or your finger — instead of typing long commands. GUI stands for graphical user interface: graphical means you see shapes and icons, not only text; the user is you; the interface is the meeting place between you and the machine. Almost every phone and laptop you touch now uses a GUI. The older style was a blank screen and lines of text you had to remember. People say the letters G-U-I, or jokingly gooey.
圖形使用者介面(台灣說「介面」;口語常直接講 GUI)
