1. 1

If a place is grassy, grass grows over it — a grassy hill, a grassy bank, a grassy path. It means “covered with grass”, or sometimes “like grass” in colour or smell. It is a simple, everyday word. It does not mean the place is a ; that is a whole landscape. A small corner of a garden can be grassy. We almost always put it before a place-word (grassy slope, grassy field). “The hill is grassy” is fine too.
