1. 1

Glocalization is the name for that mix of worldwide and close-to-home — the connections between global businesses, rules, or problems and the local places they land in. A company practises it when it takes a global product and fits it to a local market: the same burger chain, but rice on the Taiwan menu. Cities, schools, and charities use the word too, when a global idea is reshaped so it works here. It is the noun that sits beside glocal. Formal. Business people, journalists, and academics say it; you would not use it to describe soup. Though actually, you already know the pattern from localization — this one just insists that the ‘whole world’ half stays in the picture.

    全球在地化(台灣標準說法;大陸較常寫「全球本土化」。)
