Globalism is the idea that countries should think about the whole world when they act — trade, climate, war, health — because what happens in one place can change life in another. People who like the word often mean: we are one world, so we should work together. Though actually, in news and politics the word is often not friendly. Some speakers use globalism as a complaint: they mean big companies, banks, or far-away organisations making rules, and local people losing control. So you must listen to who is saying it. It names a way of thinking (an -ism), not the same as globalization, which is the process of the world becoming more connected.
