If someone is giggly, they a lot — those little high laughs that come out in short bursts, not one big deep laugh. We often say it about children, teenagers, or friends who have “got the ” and cannot stop. It can also describe a nervous person: the laugh leaks out because they feel shy or , not because something is very funny. Informal. A giggly mood can sound sweet, or it can people who want to be serious. You can say a giggly laugh, a giggly girl, or He got giggly. We do not usually use it for a single polite laugh.
