1. 1

Geniality is the name of the quality: being genial — that warm, friendly, easy manner. You thank someone for their geniality, or you speak of the geniality of a room full of people. Like genial, it belongs more to writing and polite description than to the playground. In daily talk, friendliness or warmth will usually sound more natural. Though actually, it is not a small, cold “”; the heart of the word is still that open, happy ease with other people. It does not mean cleverness. If you want the describing word, use genial; if you want the name of the quality, use geniality.
