Freeganism is the way of living — the idea, not the person. It means getting food, clothes, or other things that shops or people have already thrown away, so that you buy less and less gets wasted. A freegan is someone who does this; freeganism is the name for the practice. People who talk about it often also talk about living simply and not feeding big companies with their money. It is not a tidy school subject with one rulebook. Some people are strict about it; some just hate seeing bread in the bin. The word is still a bit niche and informal, more at home in news stories and activist talk than in a family kitchen. Though actually, it is not “veganism, but free.” Veganism is about not using animals; freeganism is about not wasting what has already been made, even if that leftover is not vegan.
免費素食主義(指這種做法/想法,不是指那個人)
