    A freebirther is the person — usually the mother — who chooses to have the baby at home with no doctor, no midwife, and no medical team. The method is freebirth; this -er word is the person who does it, though people sometimes talk as if the two words were the same. Supporters talk about trust in the body and wanting a private birth.
