A fraternity is a group of people, usually men, who feel close to each other like brothers, because they share the same beliefs, work, or background. In the United States, a fraternity is also a specific kind of social club for male college students, often known by Greek letters. In a wider sense, 'fraternity' can also mean the warm feeling of friendship and support between people who share something important, like 'a fraternity of firefighters'.
