A forward-looking person, company, or plan is thinking about the years ahead in a hopeful way, and is willing to try new methods, not only keep the old ones. It is a praising word. Newspapers and business writing love it. It does not mean looking in front of you with your eyes, and it does not mean someone who is too bold with people — that is a different forward, the one in . You will nearly always see the : forward-looking.
有前瞻性的、看得遠的，指一個人、公司或計畫很有希望地看未來幾年，願意嘗試新方法，不只守著舊的做法。這是讚美的字，報紙和商業寫作很常用。它不是字面上用眼睛往前看，也不是指人太大膽、太主動；那是另一個同形的字，指人太主動的那個意思。寫的時候幾乎都加連字號，寫成「forward-looking」。
