    If a dress, curtains, or wallpaper is flowered, it has pictures of flowers all over it. The flowers are not real; they are printed or sewn on. Shops and magazines often say floral instead, and younger people hear that word more. Flowered still sounds right for an old sofa, a summer dress, or the wallpaper in a grandmother's house. It is a calm, everyday word. You would not use it in a science book. Though actually, the same spelling is also the past of the verb flower, as when a tree grew blossoms last spring — that is a different use.
