A fitment is a piece of furniture or equipment made for one particular place in a room: a built into that wall, a shelf cut for that corner, a kitchen unit that belongs in that space. You do not pick it up and take it to another house the way you move a chair. British speakers use this word more than American ones; in American English you are more likely to hear fixture, fitting, or built-in. Though actually catalogues still talk about kitchen fitments and bathroom fitments, and in some places the word also covers extras fitted to a car.
