    Fattist means showing attitudes toward people who are fat: judging them, joking about their body, treating them as less. A fattist remark, a fattist joke. A fattist can also be the person who thinks that way. The word is built like other “ attitude” words: fat plus -ist. It is not an old classroom word; you will meet it in writing about fairness and body size more than in children’s stories.
