Fanatical describes extreme, excessive enthusiasm or devotion to something - a sport, a hobby, a belief, a team. It usually has a slightly negative feeling, suggesting the person has gone further than seems reasonable or healthy. A fanatical fan might line up for days to get tickets, or a fanatical supporter might refuse to ever admit their team is wrong.
