Fallibility is the fact that someone or something can be wrong — the “being-able-to-mess-up” itself, not one single mistake. Memory has fallibility; experts have fallibility. It is the noun that belongs with fallible, and it is fairly formal. People use it when they want to say “even this trusted thing can slip” without sounding rude: “the fallibility of ” is a set phrase in law and psychology. Though actually, it does not mean the person has already failed; it means they could. Scientists often talk about the fallibility of a first result as a virtue, not a shame.
