Fakie is a word. It means you ride the board backwards: the board is rolling the “wrong” way for the way your feet are standing. Though actually, your feet do not change places. That other thing — standing the opposite way on purpose — is called riding switch, and skaters are careful about the difference. use fakie too. It is casual sports talk; you will not hear it in a school English class unless someone is talking about skating. It can also describe a trick: a fakie trick is one done while rolling backwards.
