    Facially means on your face, or having to do with your face. A doctor might say two people are facially similar — their faces look alike, even if the rest of them does not. Cream can be used facially, meaning you put it on the face. It is a neat, slightly formal adverb; everyday talk often just says on the face or in the face. It does not mean facing a problem , and it does not mean making jokes. That last mix-up is easy because sits so close on the page.
