1. 1

A facecloth is a small square of soft cloth that you use with soap and water to wash your face or your hands. British speakers use this word a lot; in American English people more often say washcloth. It is an ordinary bathroom word, not a fancy one. You wet it, put soap on it, wipe the skin, then rinse the cloth. It is not a towel: a towel is for drying after you wash. Some people also use a facecloth in the bath or shower to wash the rest of the body, though the name still points to the face. Hotels sometimes leave a stack of them by the sink.

    洗臉巾(小塊用來洗的;不是擦乾的浴巾)
