An explication is a slow, careful explaining of an idea. You do not stop at one neat sentence. You open the thing out, piece by piece, and show how the parts work together — a poem, a rule, a hard thought. Teachers and writers use this word when they walk through a text or an argument in that close way. It feels formal. At the shops people just say explanation; though actually those two are neighbours, not twins, and explication is the one that takes its time.
組成Borrowed from Middle French explication and Latin explicātiō, explicātiōnem. By the look of the English word: explicate + -ion (the noun ending).
