Expeditiously is the adverb: it describes doing something quickly and efficiently, with obstacles cleared. It attaches to a verb — deal with a complaint expeditiously, process an application expeditiously, move expeditiously toward an agreement. Like its adjective, it lives almost entirely in formal, institutional English: legal documents, official correspondence, company statements, government reports. In a contract you will often meet the fixed pair 'promptly and expeditiously', which is lawyers being careful: promptly means you start soon, expeditiously means you keep going and finish without dragging. In everyday speech people say 'quickly', 'fast', or 'right away'. If a student uses 'expeditiously' when chatting with friends, it will sound like they swallowed a contract.
