An evergreen is a tree or plant that keeps its green leaves all year, even in winter, unlike trees that lose their leaves in autumn. Pine trees are a common example. The word "evergreen" is also used to describe something that stays popular, useful, or relevant for a very long time without going out of date, like "an evergreen song" or "evergreen advice."
