If something is enticing, it pulls at you — you want it, you keep looking at it, it feels hard to walk away from. An enticing smell, an enticing offer, an enticing idea. It describes the thing that pulls, not (usually) the person doing the pulling, though a person can look enticing too. The feeling is wanting plus a little extra: this might be good, or it might be too good. In careful talk it still hints that you should think twice. Though actually, food writers use it all the time with no warning at all — an enticing menu is just one you want to order from.
