To enroll means to officially put your name on a list to join something, most often a school, university, course, or program. In American spelling it's "enroll" (with two l's); in British spelling it's usually "" (one l). You enroll IN a class or program — "in" is the preposition that usually follows it. It's a slightly formal word for "sign up" or "register."
