An endemic disease or problem is one that is always around in a particular place, or among a particular group — it lives there, year after year, rather than arriving in a sudden wave and then leaving. From Ancient Greek ἐν 'in' + δῆμος 'people' + -ic.
由希臘文 ἐν「在…裡」加 δῆμος「人民」再加 -ic 組成。
組成Greek en (“in”) + dêmos (“people”) + -ic: “among the people, at home there.” Possibly via French endémique. By surface, en- + demic.
