To emblazon something is to put a name, a picture, or a design on it in a way that people cannot miss — big, clear, often right in the middle. The word comes from old talk about shields: a fighter’s shield showed his family sign for all to see. Today we still use it, though actually not only for shields. A T-shirt can be emblazoned with a band’s name. A banner can be emblazoned with a slogan. News writing likes this word; everyday speech might just say “printed across it” or “has a big logo on it.” It is very often used in the passive: something is emblazoned with a design, rather than “they emblazon it.”
