1. 1

Egosurfing is the same habit as egosurf: looking yourself up online to see who mentions your name. It can name the activity (a noun) or describe doing it right now (the -ing form of the verb). The word was coined by Sean in 1995, when searching the web for your own name was still a new, slightly vain joke. Same informal, teasing feel. You might egosurf after a talk, a match, or a job application, just to see what landed. It is not deep or technical; it is a smile with a bit of truth in it. Many people do the thing and never learn this name for it.

    搜自己的名字;常說「Google 自己」。
