Eco-friendly means not harmful to the living world around us — it does not poison rivers, waste a lot of energy, or throw away more than it needs to. Companies print it on bags, bottles, and cleaning spray. Sometimes the thing really is gentler: a bag you can use again, a soap that breaks down in water. Sometimes it is mostly a selling word, and the product is only a little better, or not better at all. So the word is useful, but a careful reader still asks “friendly how?” Eco- here is a short piece tied to ecology: how living things share a home.
環保的;也說對環境友善的
組成From eco- + friendly. Eco- comes from Greek oîkos (“house, home”), the same root that gives ecology.
