1. 1

An E-ticket is a ticket kept in a computer, not a special paper ticket you fold into a booklet. Planes use this a lot: the airline stores your seat in their system, and you show a booking code, a phone screen, or your passport at the airport. Though actually, almost every plane ticket is an E-ticket now, so many people just say ticket and never think about paper. People also stretch the word to concert or train tickets that live in an app as a code you scan. You may still print a boarding pass; that paper is not the ticket itself — the ticket is already in the system.
