    Drivetime is the part of the morning or the late afternoon when many people are in their cars, going to work or coming home. Radio stations and care about it a lot, because drivers are sitting there with the radio on and cannot easily walk away. So you hear drivetime radio, the drivetime show. Morning drivetime is roughly the hours before nine; afternoon drivetime is roughly the hours after school and office work, though every city is a little different. Though actually, ordinary people more often say rush hour for the same clock. Drivetime is the radio and advertising name for that slot. It is not how long your own journey takes — that is driving time, with -ing.
