    Doomy describes a mood, a look, or a piece of art that makes you feel something bad is coming — or a person who is already thinking that way. A film can be doomy. Music can be doomy. A grey afternoon can feel doomy if it sits on you like a warning. A person can get doomy before a test: they expect the worst. It is informal, a little young, and more spoken than textbook. It is not a hard, official word; it is the everyday cousin of “full of doom.” The feeling is about the future going badly, not only about being sad right now.
