To deflower a woman is an old, way of saying that someone has sex with her for the first time. The picture is of taking a flower. Today many people find the word cold and : it treats a first time as something taken from a woman, and it is almost never used about men. You will meet it in older novels, some crime reports, and stiff legal-sounding English. Young people do not say it about real life. They would say the first time, or a blunter street word. It can also appear in talk about assault, which is a darker use, not a romance word. The tidy old picture is tidier than how people want to speak now.
