Behaving in the way people think a daughter should behave toward her parents: caring, respectful, loyal, ready to help. You meet it more in books and older speech than from young people on the bus. Daughterly duty is a set phrase, and it often carries a slightly old, flavour — not just “she has a mum and dad.” Though actually, what a daughter is “expected” to do changes a lot by family and by culture, so the word can sound dated or a bit today. Everyday English more often says like a good daughter or just names the behaviour (she looks after her mum). It is about the daughter’s part in the family, not about being or young.
女兒般的;盡女兒本分的(偏書面、略舊)

daughterlyadj
- 1
Relating to or characteristic of a daughter.
- She had lost so much weight her magnificent head looked vulnerable on its swan-like neck, and this new delicacy, this suggestion of mortal time working on her just as it works on everybody, spoke to me more loudly than any of the old accusations of daughterly neglect ever had.
