A cyborg is a creature that is partly human (or otherwise living) and partly machine — still flesh, but with device mixed in. Science fiction uses the word a lot: a metal arm, an eye that is a camera, a body that needs computers to keep going. News sometimes uses it for people with serious implants, though actually doctors more often name the device and do not say cyborg at all. It is not a robot: a robot is a machine with no living body. As a verb, to cyborg someone means to add machine parts like that; the verb is rare and mostly playful or technical. The noun is the word you will meet.
