    A cyberthreat is the danger that someone will get into a computer system without permission and see or use the information there — files, passwords, customer lists, and so on. The word names the risk, which may still only be a possibility. Security staff, news, and governments use it; it sounds official, like a report. It is countable: a cyberthreat, several cyberthreats. Though actually, people stretch it. In everyday talk the same word may cover viruses, scams, or any online danger, not only illegal looking and using. You will also see it written as two words, cyber threat.
