1. 1

Cyberfraud is fraud that happens through computers and the internet: someone lies on purpose so they can take money, an account, a password, or sometimes power over you. Fake shops, fake love, fake “your bank needs this code” messages — that is the usual picture. News, police, and the law like this word; it sounds official. In everyday talk people more often say they got scammed online, or they were tricked. Though actually, not every bad thing on the internet is cyberfraud. A rude comment is not fraud. Fraud means a planned trick, usually to take something. Cybercrime is the bigger box; cyberfraud is the “they lied to get something” piece inside it.

    網路詐騙。台灣說「網路」,中國大陸說「網絡」。
