A crybaby is someone, especially a child, who cries too often and too easily, without a strong reason. It is not a kind word. People say it to show they think the person is weak, or is making a fuss to get their way. Adults use it about children, and they also throw it at other adults — Don't be such a crybaby — which can be unfair, because sometimes the tears are real. It is playground talk and angry talk, not polite talk. You would not write it in a careful essay unless you were showing how someone was being mean. Though actually, the word is simply cry plus baby: a baby who cries, said as an insult. There is a verb too, to crybaby, meaning to complain in a wet, helpless way, but the noun is the one you will meet first.
