Consummate has two very different uses. As an adjective (said kon-SUM-it), it means someone is extremely skilled and complete at what they do — 'a consummate professional' does their job perfectly, with total skill. As a verb (said KON-suh-mate), 'to consummate' something means to complete it fully — most often used for a marriage, meaning the couple has had sex for the first time as husband and wife, which in some cultures and old laws made the marriage 'complete' and legal.
技藝精湛的(形容詞);使圓滿完成、圓房(動詞)
