1. 1

Constructively means in a useful, helpful way — in a way that is likely to lead to a good result. It is the adverb that belongs with constructive, so it usually sits next to a verb: you speak constructively, work constructively, use your time constructively. “Please comment constructively” means “say things that help, not only complaints.” It is fairly formal. In casual talk, people often say “in a helpful way” instead. The idea is the same as constructive; only the job in the sentence has changed.
