可以想成一間很冷的倉庫，門一關上，裡面的東西就停在原地：蘋果不會再熟下去，肉也不會壞。冷在這裡只做一件事，就是把時間先按住。重要的是，裡面的東西沒有被丟掉，只是被放著等人來拿。英文後來把這個畫面借去講計畫和想法，甚至借去講存在離線裝置裡的密鑰——都是「先冰著不動」的意思。
