1. 1

A coatroom is a small room, or a counter, where you leave your coat when you go into a restaurant, theatre, museum, or office — a coat check. This is mainly American English. In Britain people more often say cloakroom, though that word is messy: it can also mean a toilet. A coatroom is only for coats and bags. You will meet it on signs in American buildings more than in everyday Taiwan English; here people usually look for 衣帽間 or 寄物處.

    衣帽間(寄放外套處;美式。英式 cloakroom 有時指廁所,不是這個意思)
