1. 1

A churchman is a priest: a man whose work is in the church, especially in the Church of England. It is a somewhat old-fashioned word; today people more often say priest, vicar, or clergyman. It can stretch to mean a man who is very active in church life even if he is not ordained, but the core meaning is the clergyman. exists but is much less common. In news you may still meet senior churchmen for important priests speaking as a group.

    神職人員、牧師(偏舊、偏英國國教;現在更常說 priest 或 clergyman)
