Chubbiness is the noun for that slightly-fat look we call — round cheeks, a soft tummy, a body that looks well-fed and well, not ill. English uses it as a kind, everyday word more often than as a doctor’s word. We talk about the chubbiness of a baby’s face, or of a puppy. It is not the same as obesity, and it is not a measurement; it is a look. Said about a child or a pet, it is usually warm. Said about an adult’s body, it can still be gentle, but you have to hear the tone — some people do not want their bodies described at all. There is no sharp line where chubbiness ends and “fat” begins, which is why the word can please one person and sting another.
豐滿、圓潤(偏健康、可愛的那種微胖,不是醫藥上的肥胖)
