A chiller is a film or book made to you — the kind that sends a cold feeling down your back. and everyday viewers use it for scary stories; it is a little less common than horror or thriller, and it leans on that “cold fear” idea. It can be a ghost story, a cruel crime story, or anything meant to you on purpose. Though actually, the same spelling also names a machine that cools air or liquid, but that is a different job for the word; here we mean the scary story.
