    If a tune or a phrase is catchy, it is easy to remember. It sticks in your head, often after you hear it only once or twice. Pop songs, the little song in an , and short slogans are the usual things we call catchy. The word is informal and warm. Though actually, it can be a compliment (“what a catchy chorus”) or a small complaint (“it is catchy — I cannot stop humming it”). We say it about sounds and wording, not about people. A person is not catchy.
