1. 1

Cannelloni are large tubes of pasta. Cooks fill them with meat, and often with cheese or a mix of both, then cover them with sauce and bake them. It is an Italian dish, and in English we usually keep the Italian name. You will see it on restaurant menus more than in everyday chat. English speakers almost always say cannelloni for the dish, even when they mean the plate in front of them. Though actually people mix this up with cannoli, which is a sweet fried pastry tube filled with cream — dessert, not dinner.
